Chelsea Smith, LPCA

Licensed Professional Counselor Associate

Chelsea is a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate, born in Hampton, VA, and raised in Louisville, KY. Chelsea attended Northern Kentucky University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership and a focus in Psychology in 2017. She later received her Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development from Lindsey Wilson College in 2022. Chelsea experienced multiple industries before finding her career as a mental health professional. Regardless of the industry, Chelsea realized one thing, “we’re all desiring a better version of self”.

Chelsea identifies as a Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral and Existential therapist. Such therapies are geared to help clients: focus on the now (Gestalt), change thinking patterns and behavior (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and increase self-awareness while normalizing certain anxieties associated with life (Existential). Though Chelsea has a level of respect for these three modalities, she is sure to strategically use whatever approach is most beneficial for the client. This leaves room for different therapies to be used as intervention for others.

Chelsea is excited to be of service to all people, and specifically looks forward to treating the BIPOC, adolescent, young adult, adult, and geriatric communities. Aside from working with clients one on one, Chelsea also has a heart for community service and enjoys opportunities to speak, teach, or network about mental health awareness. One of Chelsea’s favorite quotes is “The only way out is through.” - Robert Frost
